MiTE: program for adaptation to climate change in the urban areas

The Ministry of Ecological Transition in collaboration with ANCI and ISPRA has launched an "Experimental program of interventions for adaptation to climate change in urban areas" for municipalities with more than 60,000 inhabitants.

This program aims to encourage planning at local level for the adaptation and testing of pilot and concrete measures to be implemented in urban areas, with the involvement of administrations and citizens, to deal more effectively with the consequences of global warming, reducing the vulnerability of cities.

To achieve this, the program dedicates approximately 80 million euros to the implementation of green and blue interventions and gray interventions, i.e. those aimed at creating sustainable urban solutions.
