Italian olive oil: decree to support investments, modernization and development of the supply chain



Cia-Agricoltori Italiani reports on the signing, by the Italian Minister of Agricultural Policies Stefano Patuanelli, of the decree that defines criteria and methods for grants to support and development of the olive-oil sector.


The decree, intended for olive producers associated with Producer Organizations (OP), provides for the allocation of 30 million euros, from the supply chain fund: 10 million euros are reserved to support investments in new plants and 20 million euros for modernize existing plants.


Priority is given to investments in disadvantaged and larger areas, as well as for those characterized by high density and irrigation.
